Meet Jonathon
My name is Brad, father to Jonathon, my amazing teenage son who was diagnosed with severe Autism at the age of two.
Jonathon is my everything. He’s my best friend and my reason for living. Jonathon and I are connected by our heartstrings - an important link since he is non-verbal.
I know what Jonathon thinks and feels without a word spoken. I ache when he aches, and I know the pain and suffering of Autism through his unspoken words.
Inspired by Jonathon, my entire family and I have set out to make a difference in the lives of individuals with Autism, and 2022 marks the birth of our nonprofit organization, HAART - Helping Adults with Autism Reside Together.
Our vision is to help adults with Autism in group homes by providing grants for the meaningful extras that residential group home budgets can’t handle.
For our inaugural fundraiser, HAART plans to bring #AdventuresInApril to a multitude of individuals with Autism who live in residential care homes.
Why Adventures in April?
Because April is National Autism Awareness Month and HAART would like to play an important role in this day of national observance.
Our first goal is to enrich the lives of this beloved population by bringing them #AdventuresInApril.
So what kind of adventures are we talking about?
Unbridled excitement riding roller coasters at a nearby theme park (a sensory favorite!)
The thrilling surprise of tickets to see an all-time favorite artist (a night they’ll NEVER forget!)
The exhilaration of an adventurous trip to see the ocean for the first time (it will be hard to drag them away!)

During the month of April, we are asking for quick and easy donations of $5-10 to go toward our goal of $10,000 to bring #AdventuresInApril to these endearing souls!
Your heartfelt contributions will fulfill the adventurous dreams of adults in supportive care homes just in time for National Autism Awareness Month.
